Our Story | Our Big Page: Color. Connect. Grow.

The "Interrogation" Problem

Hi, we're Bryan and Amanda.

Like so many parents, we wanted to know what was really going on inside our kids' heads. We have two growing boys, Alex and Ben, and we found that as they got older, "engaged family time" was becoming harder to find.

We wanted to connect with them on a deeper level—to get past the daily logistics and actually talk about big feelings, fears, and dreams. But every time we tried to sit down face-to-face and ask, "How are you feeling?", it backfired. The kids shut down. The conversation felt forced.

To put it bluntly: It felt less like a connection and more like an interrogation.

The Solution: A Way to Color, Connect, and Grow

We tried using those decks of conversation starter cards, and while the questions were great, the experience still felt a bit stiff. Sitting face-to-face holding a card felt like a performance.

We realized that the best conversations don't happen when you are staring at each other; they happen when you are working side-by-side. We needed a creative distraction—something to keep our hands busy so our minds could open up.

We wanted a tool that would allow us to color together to lower the pressure, connect through natural conversation (without the eye-contact intensity), and grow closer as a family.

When we couldn't find exactly what we needed, we decided to make it ourselves.

Made with Love (In the Family Room)

Our Big Page is a true family operation run right out of our home in Coventry, Rhode Island.

We don't outsource the creativity. I (Bryan) personally design every single sheet, building the themes and conversation prompts based on real moments we want to explore with Alex and Ben.

And we don't just design them—we print them right here in our home, inside our self-proclaimed "family room fulfillment center" (because, well, it used to be our actual family room!). Every sheet that goes out the door is packed with care by us.

Our Broader Mission

This isn't our first time creating tools to bring families together. You may already know us from our sister brand, RestickBrix.

Whether it's storytelling with magnetic tiles or coloring a giant sheet, our family's mission remains the same: creating products that help you put down the screens and actually connect.

We know the chaos of modern parenting, but we also know the magic that happens when the house gets quiet, the markers come out, and a real conversation begins.

Thank you for supporting our small business and letting us be a part of your family's story.
